Dark Tour of Split
Overview
Step away from the typical sightseeing tour and discover the hidden side of Split. On this unique walking tour, you'll learn the essential history of our 1,700-year-old city while exploring the stories that rarely make it into guidebooks.
Follow the narrow stone streets of Diocletian's Palace as we uncover tales of murders, executions, witches, heretics, forbidden love, brothels, epidemics, political intrigue, wars, and other dark chapters that shaped Split through the centuries. Every story is based on real people and real events, bringing the city's past vividly to life.
Along the way, we'll visit hidden corners and lesser-known spots that many visitors—and even some locals—never discover.
We'll finish the tour on Split's beautiful seaside promenade, where you can relax with a cold Croatian craft beer included in the experience.
