Overview

We offer our customers an exciting guided scooter tour, (Reservation includes 1 scooter for 2 people, if there is a need to have 1 scooter per person contact us), designed to let you discover the most fascinating places of Messina. During the tour, we will visit the magnificent bell tower of the Duomo, symbol of the city, and stop at the panoramic lookout to admire a breathtaking view. We will continue with a visit to the Military Sanctuary, from which you can enjoy a spectacular view of the port of Messina. We will then proceed along the picturesque roads that cross the woods of Messina, to reach the Sanctuary of Dinnammare. Before returning the scooters, we will allow ourselves a relaxing stop to taste some of the best typical products of Messina cuisine.
If it rains or the WEATHER conditions change during the tour the Organizer will not be able to compensate the customer.

Santuario di Dinnammare

The sanctuary of Madonna di Dinnammare rises on the top of the homonymous mountain, 1127 meters high, which is part of the Peloritani mountain range. The name Dinnammare derives from the Latin term "bimaris", since from its summit it is possible to enjoy the view of the two seas, the Ionian and the Tyrrhenian.1] Other studies attribute its meaning as purely Arabic, deriving in fact from Dinammar composed of din (in Arabic ‘religion’, but also ‘reward, retribution’) combined with a proper name, ‘Ammar, frequent name in medieval documents, the ancient owner of those places therefore ‘(land given) in reward to ‘Ammar’. From the square of the church you can admire the city of Messina in all its grandeur and the narrow in its majesty. Looking at the Tyrrhenian side, you can instead observe the bay of Milazzo the volcanic Aeolian Islands.
