St Peter Basilica Guided Tour with Priority Access

Embark on an approximately 1-hour guided tour of St. Peter’s Basilica—a journey through centuries of art, faith, and history. Begin in St. Peter’s Square, where Bernini’s embracing colonnades and central obelisk set the stage for an immersive experience.
Inside, your licensed guide unveils the basilica’s layered history, from its Renaissance rebirth to its Baroque splendor. Marvel at Bernini’s bronze Baldacchino crowning the high altar and the poignant beauty of Michelangelo’s Pietà. The tour concludes with a visit to the papal tombs.
With the dome climb options, you’ll also climb to the top of St. Peter’s Dome for breathtaking panoramic views of Rome. We suggest allowing at least 30 extra minutes for the climb.
