- From January to March 2026, restoration work on Michelangelo’s The Last Judgment will take place
- The Sistine Chapel will remain open, but scaffolding may partially or fully obstruct the altar wall. No refunds are issued due to restoration work, scaffolding, or unannounced closures by the Vatican
- In the rare event of Basilica closure, the guide will offer an alternative Vatican itinerary
