The main walls are covered in beautiful frescos from the Renaissance age and the main nave, restored four centuries ago, will leave you in awe! It is one of the oldest churches of Rome, but the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano is something more: a real artistic jewel.

The giant basilica was built as early as the V century AD and features original Roman columns, a great mosaic from the Middle Age, but also the portraits of all the Popes in history, including the last ones: Pope Francis and Pope Benedict XVI.
