Rome: Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica
Overview
Discover the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel on a private tour with a licensed guide and reserved museum admission. Explore celebrated galleries and Michelangelo’s masterpieces, with time for your questions.
Choose BASILICA PASSAGE for the museum tour followed by independent access to St. Peter’s Basilica, or GUIDED BASILICA for a guided visit inside as well. Select English, Spanish, Italian, French or German. Maximum 5 people per private booking.
Meet at Gyash Tours, Vicolo del Farinone 23, Rome, 30 minutes before departure.
Basilica access and the connecting passage depend on Vatican permission, religious events and security. If the Basilica closes, the Museums and Sistine Chapel tour continues and a partial refund applies to the unavailable Basilica component.
Reserved admission does not bypass mandatory security checks. Bring ID matching each participant’s name. Shoulders and knees must be covered.

- Entrance tickets are issued in the visitor’s name. Please make sure the name provided during booking matches the visitor’s valid ID or passport. Incorrect names may result in refused admission, and corrections may not always be possible after booking.
- Reserved entry helps provide more organized access to the Vatican Museums but does not bypass mandatory security checks. All visitors must pass airport-style security screening, and waiting times may vary depending on crowd levels and Vatican security procedures.
- A respectful dress code is required. Shoulders and knees must be covered, and visitors wearing unsuitable clothing may be refused entry by Vatican staff.
- Children aged 0 to 6 enter free of charge. Please include them in the booking so that the visitor information is complete.
- Visitors with a certified disability of at least 67% are entitled to free admission issued directly by the Vatican Museums and should therefore not book this product. For visitors who are not self-sufficient, free admission is also extended to one accompanying person. Valid disability documentation is required.
- The itinerary may vary due to Vatican events, security requirements, crowd management, maintenance or temporary closures. Access to specific galleries or areas may occasionally be restricted without prior notice.
- This tour involves walking from the ticket redemption point to the Vatican Museums entrance and extensive walking inside the Museums. Comfortable shoes are strongly recommended.
- Large luggage, suitcases, oversized backpacks and other items considered unsuitable by Vatican staff must be left in the Vatican Museums cloakroom. We recommend travelling light and bringing only small personal belongings.
