Overview

Dakota Luxury Expeditions is the exclusive private-charter division of Black Hills Open-Top Tours.

Skip the stressful mountain driving and parking chaos. Command an 8-hour private itinerary with a veteran guide in our Mercedes Caleche Panoramic Sprinter. Enjoy complimentary beverages and VIP drop-offs at Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial.

Summer Routing (May–Oct):
We navigate the famous pigtail bridges of Iron Mountain Road and the Needles Highway. Look straight up at towering granite spires through our electric glass roof, concluding with a curated Bashful Bison Market charcuterie picnic at pristine Sylvan Lake.

Winter Routing (Nov–Apr)
Because mountain roads close for snow, your tour becomes an exclusive Winter Wildlife Safari. Track massive free-roaming bison on the plowed Custer State Park Wildlife Loop from the heated comfort of the Caleche. We also stop at the famous "Begging Burros" sliding open the panoramic roof so your family can hand-feed them nutritious treats.
