The best option to do it
Pompeii is one of the most fascinating archaeological sites in the world, offering a unique glimpse into life in ancient Rome. The city was frozen in time by the devastating volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, which buried it under a thick layer of ash, pumice, and rocks.
Highlights of the Excavations

- The Forum: The heart of ancient Pompeii, featuring temples, basilicas, and markets.
- The Villa of the Mysteries: A stunning villa with exquisite frescoes depicting initiation rituals.
- The House of the Faun: A grand house with impressive mosaics and sculptures.
- The Amphitheater: A massive arena that hosted gladiatorial contests and public events.
- The Streets and Buildings: Wandering through the streets of Pompeii, you can see the remains of shops, bakeries, and homes, giving you a glimpse into daily life in ancient Rome.
