Overview
Located in Akumal, between Playa del Carmen and Tulum, Uxuxubi is a privately protected reserve where ecotourism plays a key role in supporting conservation. Covering approximately 30,000 acres (12,000 hectares) of protected natural habitats, the reserve has recorded nearly 275 bird species, making it one of the Riviera Maya's premier destinations for tropical forest birding. Away from the crowds, Uxuxubi offers an immersive birding experience while directly contributing to the protection of the region's biodiversity.
