Overview
Cruise a unique river in the heart of the world’s first designated wine region and UNESCO World Heritage Site. We depart from Pinhão, passing under the iconic iron bridge designed by Gustavo Eiffel, following river up to the Tua area and then returning to the starting point.
Along the way, admire the vineyards that descend to the river, in a preserved landscape, without national roads or road traffic. Although the return is the same, the opposite perspective reveals new angles and frames.
The traditional rabello boats have open and covered areas, ensuring comfort at any time of year. To enrich the experience, use our free app “Magnífico Douro – Paseos de Barco”, with geolocalized comments on the farms, the wine and the river. Bring earphones for greater convenience.

If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
Feb 2023- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the tour start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the tour local time (WET).
