Oslo Nature Walks: Island hopping
Overview
Oslo's original and best rated island hopping tour shows you the iconic scenery of the Oslo Fjord. Set off on an island-hopping adventure using the city’s all-electric public ferries, just like the locals. Discover a quieter, more natural side of Oslo as you cruise across open water on a series of short boat journeys, taking in wide views of green islands, charming cabins, and distant hills.
Step ashore on two or three unique islands (based on season and weather). On one, explore coastal paths, forests, meadows, and beaches while learning about over 1,000 years of history and how nature shaped local life. On the other, experience Norway’s cabin culture among colorful wooden cottages and blooming gardens, hearing how these simple retreats have long been a place to slow down and enjoy the outdoors.
Your guide shares local insights throughout, bringing each place to life. Return by ferry with beautiful views of Oslo’s waterfront, ending a memorable and refreshing nature escape.
