What To Expect
When you step onto the pier with Salty, you are tapping into a library of local knowledge—a blend of military precision, scientific expertise, and a lifelong passion for the Bay waters. This is the ultimate local access, giving you skills you can take anywhere in the world.
Expert Knowledge: Decoding the Water
We don't rely on luck. We use strategy and science to find the fish.
• Read the Water: Learn the Bay's language. Salty will teach you how to read the tides, understand the local currents, and identify the subtle signs of feeding grounds, transforming the water from a blue surface into a living map.
• Scientific Immersion: For the curious, we run our unique Chief Marine Scientist mission: analyzing water samples, identifying local bait species, and understanding the delicate ecosystem that feeds the Bay's biggest catches. You will gain a deep respect for the environment and the laws that protect it. • A Guaranteed Experience: Whether you hook a monster or just soak up the sun, you leave with authentic, lifelong skills, local stories, and a deep appreciation for the Bay Area's watery heart.
