Overview

Enschede, the Netherlands. You are Matthias Breyer, a German with no known ties to this city, lured here by a cryptic inheritance letter. What you find is far stranger than a legal dispute: the city's spirits are trapped between worlds, and your grandmother's woven bracelet is the key to setting them free.

This self-guided city game uses the Questo app to lead you through 15 chapters across 3.64 km of Enschede. Start anytime at the train station, follow the thread of the city's textile history from the old town to the former factory district. No guide or fixed schedule: just you and a ghost story 200 years in the making.

Your path takes you through the haunted manor of the Van Heek textile dynasty, the 1827 Factory School, the city's oldest church, the Van Heek Villa, the old spinning mill on Molenstraat, a candlelit graveyard, the Rijksmuseum path, and the remnants of the 2000 fireworks disaster site.

What's Included

  • Real textile history at every stop, from the 1827 Factory School to the 2000 Fireworks Disaster
  • Immersive haunted storyline: help trapped spirits find peace through Enschede's weaving legacy
  • Flexible scheduling, start anytime, play at your own pace
  • Live tour guide (self-guided via the Questo app)
