Guided tour Nymphenburg Castle with official guide
Overview
Discover the Nymphenburg Palace, the summer residence of Wittelsbach rulers, with an official tour guide of the state capital Munich.
The tour begins with the exterior of Nymphenburg Castle, which is over 632 metres wide, making it wider than Versailles Castle.
Afterwards the tour continues inside the castle complex. At the beginning you enter the Steinernes Saal with its rich stucco work and a magnificent ceiling fresco by Johann Baptist Zimmermann. Afterwards, visit the diverse premises of the princes and their wives. Your guide will show you the most valuable piece of furniture and introduce you to exciting stories of various mistresses. Worth seeing is the beauty gallery of King Ludwig I; historically, the birth room of the future "fairytale king" King Ludwig II.
