The Fabulous Pico do Arieiro: Half-day Private Tour
Overview
Discover our half-day private tour in our Hybrid Suzuki Vitara with Ross.
We start with a stop at Terreiro da Luta to admire peaceful panoramic views over Funchal.
Next, we visit the Ecological Park Interpretation Center, where you can explore a small nature museum and enjoy a short guided walk around the upper mountain streams that flow down to the city. It’s a quiet, educational, and photogenic stop.
We continue to Pico do Arieiro (1,810 m), Madeira’s third-highest peak, where you’ll have time to explore its dramatic volcanic landscapes. You may also spot rare birds such as Zino’s Petrel.
On our descent, we pass through Camacha, the birthplace of football in Portugal, and visit a nearby section of the Levada da Serra to learn how Madeira’s historical water channels work — no hiking required.
Our eco-friendly route avoids the crowds and offers complete flexibility: we adapt our timing and small detours to your interests, ensuring a personalized, fully private experience.
