What To Expect
We meet at Eggum, on the beach where you will get to know your highly experienced guide and the rest of your group. We will go over kayak safety, route and conditions and you will get to know your kayak.
We will be paddling North-East and all around the beautiful small islands. We provide delicious snacks and hot drinks for you to maintain energy while we paddle. While you are resting, watching the birds or sea life and taking in the views from your kayak your guide will tell you stories about the life and nature of Lofoten.
For this trip, it’s not necessary to have any previous experience. 99% of our guests never kayaked before.

Regardless of age or skill level you will find that our expeditions offer enough flexibility to make your experience with us safe and rewarding. Sep 2022Your safety is City Balloon Tours’s number one concern. In general, sea kayaking is safer than most other outdoor pursuits, even bicycling.
Jan 2023If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
