Pescallo is a small quiet village on Lake Como and is located less than a mile from the larger resort town of Bellagio. Having read about this place as being a little fishing community away from the tourist area, I was interested to see it for myself. On my first visit to Lake Como and Bellagio in 2011, I started exploring and found that it was only a short walk to Pescallo.The walk to Pescallo may be short but it is not that simple. For anyone who has difficulty navigating steps or uneven walkways, this trek is definitely not for you. Although Bellagio is at the water’s edge, the town is built on a hill.

Villa Del Balbianello

We will see this beautiful villa by the water. Number of feature films have used the villa for location shooting, including A Month by the Lake (1995), His Demise starring Paul Zukowski (2016 disaster movie), Casino Royale (2006). The villa was also used for the lake retreat scenes in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones (2002), with computer-generated imagery used in place of the building's true exterior.
