Oceanico is the original dolphin & whale watching organization in Huatulco.
We offer small groups for the best views and adventures!
Our bilingual crew of Marine Biologists are passionate and experienced marine wildlife experts.
We have an underwater microphone to listen to the dolphins and whales too!
Oceanico has, by far, the most sightings in Huatulco.

What To Expect
Get ready for a thrilling adventure focused on respectfully observing the dolphins and whales of Huatulco!
Our bilingual crew of Naturalists greet you with a short briefing about the marine ecosystem and species we hope to encounter.
We cruise offshore to where the most dolphins, whales, sea turtles and oceanic rays can be seen.
We have an underwater microphone to listen to the dolphins and whales!
Our crew shares information about the amazing species we see and answers your questions.
During encounters our crew collect information for our research projects.

As an active member of the Dolphin SMART program, we do not have physical contact with the dolphins on Huatulco Dolphin & Whale Watching. We watch them in their natural habitat from the boat.
Dec 2022If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
Feb 2023- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the tour start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the tour local time (CST).
- This tour requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.
