Half Day Exploration of Helsingør and Kronborg
Overview
Welcome explorers!
Come along and enjoy discovering cozy Helsingør, also known as Elsinore, its maritime history and learn about the imposing Kronborg Castle with this complete audio walking tour.
Helsingørs maritime history is as deep and wide as the waters it overlooks.
This is a city that has watched sailors and ships come and go like the ebb and flow of the tide. In front of the city stands the magnificent Kronborg Castle, its spires piercing the sky with authority.
The castle is furthermore immortalized by Shakespeare as Elsinore, the setting for his tragic play "Hamlet".
The Sound Dues, locally known as Øresundstolden, were a toll paid here to the Danish Crown.
Remember you can take breaks along the way whenever you like.
The tour starts and ends next to the train station in Helsingør.
Entrance fee to the Kronborg Castle is NOT included.
