From Edinburgh: Glenkinchie Distillery & Whisky Experience
Overview
Our adventure begins at 22 St Andrew Square in Edinburgh (EH2 1AY), where we depart for Glenkinchie Distillery. Leaving the city behind, the landscape transforms into East Lothian’s rolling green hills and farmland. This picturesque region, southeast of Edinburgh, is known for its quaint villages and peaceful countryside, offering a tranquil escape.
Glenkinchie, set in this idyllic area called the "Garden of Scotland," boasts lush farmland perfect for growing barley, a key whisky ingredient. The distillery features historic buildings, landscaped gardens, and a serene atmosphere reflecting its rich heritage.
On the Flavour Journey Tour & Tasting, Glenkinchie’s expert guides share whisky-making insights and engaging stories about the distillery’s history and craftsmanship. The visit includes time to explore the shop, enjoy lunch, or sample more drinks before heading back to Edinburgh, ensuring a memorable experience
