Frederiksborg & Kronborg Castles: Private Day Trip
Overview
Experience the majesty and magnificence of Royal Denmark on this full-day tour to the UNESCO World Heritage Castles of Frederiksborg & Kronborg with your private guide, with tickets included.
On this fairytale Royal day trip from Copenhagen, spend the morning at the picturesque UNESCO-listed Frederiksborg Castle. Uniquely set on three islands on Castle Lake, it is the largest Renaissance castle in Scandinavia. The castle was originally built in the early 1600s by King Christian IV. On exiting the castle, wander the majestic Baroque manicured and styled gardens and grounds.
Next, you’ll head to Kronborg Castle, the spectacular setting of Shakespeare's Hamlet! It was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. Your guide will take you on an intimate tour of this magnificent palace that for 400 years served as the royal headquarters for the collection of the Sound Dues.
After a magical day immersed in Denmark’s royal history, enjoy the scenic coastal train ride back to Copenhagen.
