White Grotta

The White Grotto is another of the natural wonders of Capri, located along the coast of the island, west of the more famous Blue Grotto. It is famous for its particular coloration and for the formations of stalactites and stalagmites that decorate it, which, together with the light that filters through the entrance, create a unique and suggestive atmosphere.Unlike the Blue Grotto, the White Grotto owes its name to the white light that illuminates the walls of limestone rock, giving an ethereal and bright appearance to the environment. This phenomenon is due to the combination of sunlight entering through a natural opening and reflections on the crystal clear water. The cave is accessible by sea. Inside, the rock walls are enriched by stalactites and stalagmites that form curious and fascinating groups of calcareous concretions, helping to make the experience even more suggestive.
