Overview
Bergen was Norway’s medieval capital, the hometown of Edvard Grieg, and the city where a young Henrik Ibsen learned his craft in the theatre. During the Second World War, the Gestapo ran its regional headquarters here, and you’ll pass the building on this walk.
This one-hour audio tour plays on your phone and follows you as you walk. It’s a GPS-triggered story walk through the city centre, past statues, squares and the cathedral, and it finishes by the harbour, a few minutes from the Fish Market and Bryggen.
