What To Expect
Your journey begins in Barcelona and takes you through the beautiful Catalan countryside before climbing the mountain aboard the famous rack railway, offering spectacular panoramic views along the way.
Once you arrive at Montserrat, you'll collect your audio guide and begin exploring one of Spain's most iconic religious and cultural landmarks. Visit the Basilica, admire the impressive art collection at the Museum of Montserrat, experience the Audiovisual Space and discover the unique atmosphere that has attracted pilgrims and visitors for centuries.
At your reserved time, you'll enter the Basilica to visit the Black Madonna, the spiritual heart of Montserrat. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy however you wish, whether that's discovering hidden corners of the monastery, taking in the mountain scenery or simply relaxing before returning to Barcelona. - Not permitted Both men and women must wear modest clothing that covers their shoulders and knees. It is prohibited to enter the monastery wearing flip-flops. It is prohibited to take photographs with a flash, tripods, or selfie sticks inside the basilica. It is also prohibited to take photographs during services at the monastery. It is prohibited to enter the basilica during worship services unless you are participating in them.
