Athens Urban Street Art Tour
Overview
This is the perfect activity for those who want to explore the urban culture of Athens. Together, we'll visit and see the best murals and the work of the city's most famous street artists. This is the best way to get to know the surprising and bustling street-art scene of Athens.
You will learn how the socio-economical factors and the crisis have affected the urban culture and the local artists in the last years. You 'll see a lot of street art which is connected to both the past and current situation, and understand how many of the artists were affected, and what each work represents.
You will also have the opportunity to explore various districts and up-and-coming areas of Athens while you mingle with the locals. Your expert guide on street art will take you off-the-beaten-path through small alleys and hidden courtyards in the center of Athens. During this activity, you will also learn how to decode the messages, drawings, and images you will find on your way.
