A full day excursion to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius is an incredible experience that combines history, archaeology and nature. The first stop is Pompeii, the ancient Roman.
In the afternoon you can visit Herculaneum which is better preserved than Pompeii, thanks to the mudflow that has preserved houses, frescoes and wooden structures.
Herculaneum is another fascinating archaeological site and I could visit the house of Neptune and Amphitrite, the forum and the baths.
Once the excursion of Ercolano is over, the last stop is Vesuvius. It is an unforgettable experience with breathtaking views and the possibility of seeing the crater of the famous volcano up close.

Overview

A Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius excursion is an incredible experience that combines history, archaeology and nature.
You will be able to visit Pompeii, the ancient Roman city with all its iconic places.
During this excursion you will have the opportunity to visit another archaeological site, that of Herculaneum, one of the most fascinating sites of antiquity, less famous than Pompeii but extraordinarily well preserved thanks to the volcanic mud flow that sealed the city in 79 AD.
An excursion not to be missed is a visit to Vesuvius, a unique experience with spectacular views of the Gulf of Naples.
It is one of the most famous volcanoes in the world, famous for the eruption of 79 AD that destroyed Pompeii and Herculaneum.
The most spectacular point is the visit to the crater, a gigantic depression located at the top of the volcano with still active fumaroles.

A visit to Vesuvius is a unique experience, combining nature, history and spectacular views of the Gulf of Naples. Here's what to see and what to expect during the hike: The Path to the Crater: The climb takes about 30-40 minutes, and is tiring but accessible to all. Along the way there are breathtaking views of Naples, the Amalfi Coast and the islands of Capri and Ischia. T he Crater of Vesuvius: Once at the top, you can observe the active crater, from the edge you can see fumaroles and the volcanic soil that changes color depending on the mineral composition. Panorama of the Gulf of Naples: One of the highlights of the visit is the extraordinary panorama that sweeps over Naples, the Vesuvius, the Sorrento Peninsula and the Tyrrhenian Sea. On clear days, the view extends all the way to Capri and the Pontine Islands.
